Strange World Amusement by pantherwitch4982 Strange World Amusement by pantherwitch4982
Ok guys, this has been a work in progress for quite a few months, and I have to say thanks to =trystianity and ~milleniumsentry for some tips on how to accomplish this. also to ~Xelioth for his input as well.

Created solely in UltraFractal 5, only photoshop elements are the signature and title. Yes folks, this is 99% fractal :D

edit: changed the color of the triangle and did a higher resolution image.

edit2: omg! thanks so much lorrie and dave! :glomp: and thank everyone for the comments, faves, and views :D i'll do my best to get to each of your pages

The combination of fractal forms, 3D effects, and lovely framing make this amazing!" ( Suggested by Colliemom and Featured by cmptrwhz )

I was wondering when this was going to pop up. Impressive use of texture to create the transparent box sides. This is so much cooler than what I had pictured you were up too.

:D thanks chris! :glomp: and thanks so much for the help on it. was going to ask how to get some shadows under those boxes, as nothing i'm trying is really working well. and i think it went through about 5 stages of development in my head :faint: this thing has been sooo long in the making i swear...

Check out the skew function... in the location tab. Just make a black copy of the layer you want to shadow, place it near the bottom of the stack and skew it by 60 to match the perspective of the ground.

There is also a perspective/skew/rotate mapping that does the same if the one in the location tab conflicts.

Once you have played with the skew, you can use stretch x/y in the location tab to elongate/shorten them.

Because it's made up of multiple layers, you may need to do this for the outlines, and the walls, and the object inside the cube.

If your shadows are strong, you may notice overlap as you pile the layers on top of one another. (the lines for instance will lend more shadow and will be noticeable on the ground) and you may require a final blending shadow to diffuse the effect. I just follow the same skew&stretch on a circular gradient and place above the initial shadows to blend.

If you get stuck I will put something together for ya. Great work all around I must say.
